Part 1 - Why Am I Here?

Jamie Stilson

This sermon launches a new series exploring the fundamental question "Why am I here on earth?" The pastor establishes that discovering life's purpose cannot begin with self-introspection but must start with understanding God as Creator. Drawing from Colossians 1:16, the message centers on two crucial words: "for Him." Our ultimate purpose is not about crafting a successful life to present to God, but about living in relationship with Jesus Christ—to know Him, love Him, serve Him, and honor Him. The sermon emphasizes that we are like clay in the Potter's hands or iron on the Blacksmith's anvil, being shaped according to the Creator's design, not our own. True purpose is found not in what we do, but in who we do it for and why. This life is preparation for eternity, and our purpose here is fulfilled when we live faithfully for Christ, whether in success or failure.
